Alright .... I feel very passionate about this so standby
Patmack ... good thing you were standing RDO watching movies I'm sure you paused it when there was traffic. IP's that do that are more reckless than students. The one time your not paying attention something bad happens, think about it awhile. Although its not likely to happen in the next two decades I can go without my movie for an 8 hour watch. As for wheels watch, well I don't have to do it regardless of how bad it is. That is a bonus to Primary in Corpus. As far as people commuting, I don't know anyone who lives here and commutes to Kingsville. There is some sweet deal where you live in a apartment complex that is run by civillians and owned by the navy. I guess its really nice but you gotta work to get in there.
Okay rare, I'm gonna apologize for this up front. This topic has come up in the past I said my two cents and someone else from Texas said the same thing. Now your gonna get a couple bucks worth. First off your from Texas, you went to school in Texas and now your happy to be back (according to your profile). You should live in a couple of real states for a while. Everyone from Texas thinks this is the greatest place on earth, find someone that isn't from here that says the same. You hear there is nothing in Whiting, your right there isn't. But there is a nice town called Pensacola don't know if you heard of it. I know what your all saying. Pensacola isn't that great. Its not but its seventh heaven compared to the 4th level of hell here.
All those other locations you spoke of... They are at least two hours away and there is nothing special about them. South padre is nice but you can't even come close to the beaches in Pensacola. They are just other Texas towns. Only people from Texas stick up for this town. I don't know what they do to you as children here but someone should be held responsible.
Listen closely people! This town has the highest high school drop out rate in the country. What does that mean to you. It means there are lots of kids running around looking to steal you ensign mobile or stuff in it. The bars here are literally inbetween abandoned buildings downtown. It looks like night of the comet, you know the movie where everyone in the world but 400 people survived. They don't have street sweepers here there is trash everywhere. Not only do I dodge trash on my way to the base on a motorcycle I dodge dead animals. Not just little ones, big ass dogs! There was a carcass near my exit that was never picked up, after the maggots came it just became part of the road. I said it once before on this site, in the morning you get the weather, the tides, the jellyfish and tar report ... yes tar! Have fun at the beach!
So if you want to know what its like to live in Corpus Christi go rent Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. The town in the movie ... Bartertown ... welcome to Bartertown!
