Proper Sleeve rolls

Seems like it is another uniform rumor along the lines of putting fishing line in your creases to make them stand out (heard, but never seen).

I tried that once, it doesn't work and I ruined a set of trousers. For those of you that don't know, you're supposed to melt the fishing line with the iron...

Elmer's glue will do the same thing, but will wash out if you jack it up. Useful to get creases in the old cammies, not with the new uses, which are supposed to be wash-and-wear.

Yeah I want to put in a plug for not Fvcking this up! The old cammies were not originally supposed to be starched but guess what they looked like crap and Marines being Marines we made them look good but eventually it was taken too far and we were wearing cardboard.

The new ones look good without starch and if someone decides to "raise the bar" and start starching them pretty soon we will all have to and that will suck.

I used to be a uniform whore. Spent an hour a night on cammies and would reiron the blouse at lunch (when I was actually wearing cammies that is), spit shined every night (including safety boots). New cammies I don't do shiat too.

I used to glue my pockets down, and was going to have all the buttons removed and everything sewn down (the four on the blouse and the cargo pockets), but never did.

Often thought about the fishing line thing, but decided it wasn't worth $50 to try it out.

Heh, by not starching the new cammies you can't tell who the s**tbags are at a glance anymore.

(Preemptive: /sarcasm for the sarcasm impaired)

If any of you fvckers are on here that decide to "raise the bar", I don't really care because I have 5 months left till terminal. Who cares if I look like a $hit bag. Of course, I'll still find you and kick your ass because now skid will have to be back to the nightly hour spent pressing your uniform...

I never understood why people would Glue down the old Euro Cammies. A half a dozen safety pins did the same job and they wouldnt wash our or anything. If you put them in right you didnt even have to remove them for ironing.
