100%. They'll send them to a CVN CDC billet. Hell they are taking 1390's and redesignating them to 1300 and making them pay back the months of flight school at the boat.
Can confirm. Have two friends who are doing this. Both attrited in primary.
However, both asked for 1300 (non-flying aviation) to get out of the Navy ASAP. They are both on carriers doing the same job as dissociative sea tour pilots.

Everyone who requested another community (supply, CEC, intel etc) POCR'ed successfully and started a 4 year contract (or whatever is owed per community) after the switch.

Also, for whatever its worth for future DORs/attrites. "How" you left aviation whether it was DOR/attrited/airsickess/med/good terms/terrible terms, had no bearing on people's POCR/orders opportunities.

It is interesting how things can change on a dime, some want to get out and get sent to a CVN, some want to stay and get sent home.

I won't go into it but one of my friends requested to be hardship separated on very legit grounds. It was denied. He's now getting out with the assistance of JAGs fighting the legal side and timing out the contract.

This is a guy who didn't want to quit but functionally could not remain in service.
There seems to always be a way out if you need it but not always a way to stay in. But yes, the change of times is interesting.
