I work with a number of A-10 guys who have been incredulous that this airplane has no crew escape system. But obviously it's strong suit is forced landing survival. "SFL" is a strong syllabus point for single engine platforms in AF. U-28 (PC-12) practice extensively. We adopted their syllabus and it's confidence building to know you can land a fat wing airplane off airport with minimum energy, and survive.
