BCH, ohh come on, you can’t figure out who I am…just think about who had the nastiest date there…that chick that looked like a peanut. As soon as the bus took us back I pulled chocks and drove straight to Ohio, and then to Quantico the next day. If your girl is in the same sorority as Vanessa/Theresa, you should be able to figure it out, otherwise I got you mixed up.
I think there is some truth to what your saying, the difference is that the occupancy rate at the Q in whiting is something like 70%. With the Marines you have to prove that you are not staying in the Q to get BAH, and tell me if I am mistaken, but I thought you had to put a request in to get BAH for the Navy. From what they said, it wouldn’t be approved, I’m not experienced enough to know if there is a way to tell them what they are full of if it is just scare tactics. Probably have to make friends with some of the admin guys if you want to get out of it…the Q is good for study purposes though.

that you andy?
When I was there, there was a request form to start BAH but it was a formality. NO ONE got denied. It was just so they something on paper when the DKs and civs in PSD messed things up.
But I don't know anything about whiting.

I report to API on 20 FEB. So far, I've been told you will stay in the BOQ during IFS, API, and Primary IF you are assigned to Whiting for your PCS orders. If you're married, you will get BAH. I'm married but will be a geo bachelor, so they're letting me stay in the Q. The flight management Officer at API can give you more info (LT D??) or, get a number from the PSD admin folks for the transfer clerks. The clerks that process you when you arrive are the ones that actually turn on/off you various pay/housing money, so I usually figure they're the best ones to listen to. I got some level-headed info from a Mr. Walters, sorry, don't have his number.

About to start Tac phase in the Herc.
Im living in the Q at Whiting right now. My GF was thinking about coming down for about 10 days. I know it says no overnighters in the permanent rooms, but do you think anyone would actually notice? Anyone had experience with this situation? thanks

If you go to primary at Whiting and are single you must currently live in the Q (or else pay for off base housing out of your own pocket.) The Q here at Pensacola currently has a waiting list, and they don't care where you choose to live during API. Just make sure you get a month by month lease if you live off base and are single so you aren't stuck in a lease when they send you to Whiting.
