Road to 350: What Does the US Navy Do Anyway?

As a humble GS, we got notified this morning of furlough procedures - as well as prohibited activities during furlough such as outside employment activities, receiving of public gifts (go fund me), and political activities.

So we'll see what the day and evening brings. I've got a cohort of about 25 GS-12 through 14's all waiting with anticipation. Fortunately we have phenomenal uniformed mil leadership and I'm grateful for that.

Also got formal training this morning of use of DOW and deprecating use of DOD and the appropriate graphics, powerpoint, letterhead, updates to style guides.

I, along with most of my colleagues, was non-excepted...until about 30 mins ago when the decided 70% of us are now excepted. They're trying to figure out the 'winners' and 'losers' right now.

Hey I just bring the funding and oversight - CAP is their own thing and culture. I just ensure they meet standards for operating under Title 10 and provide operational control so they can fly for hire as an air carrier without an air carrier certificate.
