After having an AFCS in AUTO insist that level flight was conducted at .75g, I wouldn't trust that thing as far as I can throw it.
Take a hit on the Mode 1 crack pipe on a dark moonless night after a 7.5 over bad guy land... you'll be a believer.

But if their hook/gear aren't down -- they'll never get to the wires ... and IF they aren't all down by the IC-AR position ... all they'll see is big flashing red lights ...nah, the final check is the wires.
