Rotary Wing Roundup (Helos at work in Maritime Environment)

Flying or IA? <sarcasm>Either way, you won't be there for long, because we all know that all troops will be gone by December 31, 2011!</sarcasm>

Flying. I'm there on deployment to the 2515th NAAD. I'll be there at least 6 months until december... until last minute we get official word, we're consolidating to NAAD south at Beuring... and then I get a world of an ass-sandwich to swallow and make happen. (oh noes! the bitching returnz!)

...we're consolidating to NAAD south at Beuring...

Well, at least we know you'll have internets. And Starbucks. And the BK Lounge. And other places, like, such as...

While you're there, can you ask the AAFES staff why they stock condoms at the exchange there?

As of a few months ago when I was there, most of those places are no longer open 24/7. And the internet for transients in Buering is spotty at best. Only one chow hall open as well.

FWIW, there seems to be a different rumor on consolidation every couple of weeks, and almost all paint a gloomy picture for personal accomodations.

Our weather today in south central Iraq is a cool 110 degrees F. That's a cool spell courtesy of the last dust storm.

Has the Air Force left?!?!

There's a great video somewhere in the interwebs of that helo being totally immersed by a bow wave on the Kitty Hawk after having to land "Chinese."

I am a bit confused.... I thought this was a picture thread. Is it not?
Indeed it is, I've been rather busy this last year and have slacked a bit on posting. Now that my OT has been cut by 10 to 15 hours a week I shall do my part in posting more pictures, that is if webmaster doesn't ban me first.
