Russian Navy getting their sea legs

It's a Russian Navy Su-33...

It would be interesting to see how they set up their approaches, didn't see any LSO's there.......

In America, LSO waves off jet on bad approach to flight deck. In Soviet Russia, jet on bad approach blows LSO off flight deck!

See? Simple :)

I'm trying to figure out what you've said, can you translate? I believe CQ is Carrier Qual, but the rest I can't understand. Thanks!

I'm no LSO but I'm pretty sure that's "underline pulled nose up at the ramp". Underline meaning he really pulled the nose up.

The main LSO symbol I knew was "Q" next to my name.

Underlined pulled nose up in close, fly through (glideslope) down at the ramp.

Someone should tell that guy that onspeed AOA is measured in units, not degrees. :p

Nice find, gotta love that power. As someone else mentioned I can only imagine what would have happened had he caught the 2 wire, only missed it by 3-4 inches.
