Hopefully, I just want to know so I can start collecting that sweet BDCP money. I actually wish that I would have reveresed my preferences now, I want to do something combat related and may even try for SEALs during OCS.

I just really want to be in the Navy, it will be a great accomplishment for me. I envy you Kurtzie, thanks again for your encouragment and advice.

So I guess the Selection Boards have changed their ways somewhat. My recruiter informed me that they are now only taking 50 apps. a month instead of the usual 100 to 200; consequently, I will be on the October Board. I'm actually excited that this has happened because my app. will get a better look by the board. Anyways good luck to all the applicants for Sept.

Boards are Monday and I haven't heard from my recruiter so I take it my packet made the cutoff.

You can call your OR he/she should have gotten a list of who made it to the boards around the 8th or 9th of the month.

So when did everyone submit, i submitted mine the 2nd week in august, and if the board meets on the 15th or close to it, will my senior chief be able to call on the 1st of october and get word on whether i made it or not???? I am so anxious, i have been going stir crazy trying to do things to keep my mind off of countdown. Anyone got any suggestions? Been burning through money!

I was browsing through the August boards thread and it seems like some people found out that week! I'm hoping to hear something by the end of the week or the latest next week. Be it yes or no, at least I'll have an answer and try to improve where I can!

Whats crazy is that the civilian that works in the office who processes everything said that all the OR's were in New Orleans the week all the paperwork had to be sent to the boards! My paperwork did not leave until Sep. 4th! But he assured me that it was in, so I hope this is the case! Don't really want to wait another month.
