Actually, I don't see that there is any rule. Maybe they are just lazy.

The new 24 mini-series had Marines standing guard at the US Embassy in England with WHITE Skivy shirts on in their green cammies AND they had their covers pulled all they way down on their domes! (Supposed to be a two finger from the bridge of the nose) I was surprised and pissed that they screwed up big time; My wife (USAF) kept telling me.."who cares"..figures, damn zoomies. But I have heard the same rule, they always must have something a little off from the regular uniform, even if its only slight.

I really hope results come out before or after Halloween; it's one of my favorite days (and actually on a Friday this year), so I'd hate for bad news to dampen the day.
