SNA Age Waiver for Non-Prior

I've gotten that ^ response a time or two...
I'm having a similar problem. No age problem yet, but my medical is taking FOREVER!!! It should have been as simple as a check in the box since my flight physical was already signed off on by the Flight Surgeon and Optometry. Any suggestions on sneaky ways to contact them without being a complete PITA? Can I contact Millington or whoever is processing my stuff directly?

I remember the first physical taking a long time for us NROTC types as well. I had mine the March prior to my senior year, and never heard anything back until early Sept right before I submitted my service selection package. Suffice to say that there is a long admin paper trail that your stuff must traverse prior to you getting the green light. I am *guessing* here, but I'd say that your OSO is probably as on top of it as his end allows him/her to be.

It's my understanding that 29 IS the waiverable age for prior service. I could be wrong.

It's been about a year since I've checked these forums. Needless to say, I'm not in the Navy and I'm not an aviator or flight officer, but I am in pharmacy school and I'm still hoping to join after I graduate. Congradulations to everyone who did get in, I can't imagine how exciting it is (or will be) to take off from an aircraft carrier. Hopefully I'll see some of you guys down the road.

One piece of advice I that I'll give to anyone who is cutting it close with age requirements and had lasik...make sure you get all of the information you need for your post-op eye exams! A combination of a few months for waiting for a FS letter and lack of information has put me on a completely different career path. I'm not complaining at all though. Anyways best of luck to you guys.
