Haha, oh man Legman. There are a few people from my class in student pool now and they absolutely hate it.

There’s usually a ~2 week block encompassing Christmas and New Years where you can leave and go home. Pretty sure any other holidays you’ll remain on base but just chill and not do much training. And liberty normally depends on which phase of training you’re in and your class team. Basically it depends and you’ll find out when you get there. Go to OCS with the expectation you won’t see friends/family for 3 months.Does anyone have any information regarding holiday stand down? Are we allowed liberty? Can we leave or have visitors?

what is the weirdest thing you have to do at first but becomes a norm?Graduated from OCS last week, feel free to ask me your stupid/weird/uncanny questions
I thought we kinda took it easy in them to be honest, other classes never let up on us lol.Congrats! I heard you guys were brutal to your indoc class, lol.
saying diddies and doing procedures for everything. I can assure you I'll never forget how to spell discipline or how door bodies work lol.what is the weirdest thing you have to do at first but becomes a norm?

Ditties and procedures is a spot on answer. They seem impossible to memorize at first, but they become fun later on when a new indoc class comes in and you get to scream at the top of your lungs in front of them to show offsaying diddies and doing procedures for everything. Shouting at the top of your lungs = showing off at OCS... what a silly placeDitties and procedures is a spot on answer. They seem impossible to memorize at first, but they become fun later on when a new indoc class comes in and you get to scream at the top of your lungs in front of them to show off
Yeah it's weird, haha. But I'm not going to lie, when your whole class is yelling the exact same thing at the exact same time while doing the exact same moves, it's pretty cool.Shouting at the top of your lungs = showing off at OCS... what a silly place
Hell yeah, I remember that. Someone smashed the glass on the chow hall door so we had to use main entrance for a few days lol.People were starting to break the damn glass on the doors from doing the whole door body thing when I was there. My last 2 weeks I heard the staff saying they needed to change the procedure to keep people from smacking the door. Damn savages lol.
It's a procedure you do when people go through doorways or enter/exit buildings. Part of it involves slapping the door. You'll learn the rest at OCSWhat is this door body thing?
Did you know anyone who needed a legal waiver? I need one for a reckless driving conviction and I'm curious about how much it may affect my chances at selection.Graduated from OCS last week, feel free to ask me your stupid/weird/uncanny questions
