I think as long as SWO isn’t your 3rd option and you meet the minimum qualifications, you’ll have a decent chance. If you don’t get it this time, then keep trying and eventually it should work out

The last SNA/SNFO board NRC released the OCS dates for each person with the board results, so not only did the applicant find out they were selected, they also found out when they were going to OCS, this extra addition added several weeks to the process.

I don’t graduate school until May so they probably wouldn’t be giving me an ocs date this early right?

Not sure how that works @sldm992. I was not aware that you could apply without a complete degree. Perhaps @NavyOffRec could speak to this better.

I'm also graduating in May, but with a masters degree. I guess I didn't imagine it was that uncommon to apply as you were finishing school.

Ya you can apply within a year of graduation. A lot of other people at my school are in the same process

I am also applying before finishing my degree, though I will finish my degree on June 1. While I was researching which branch I wanted to go into, I found that every branch allows you to apply up to 365 days before your confirmed graduation date. There are extra steps when you do this, as you have to meet with an advisor and get a signed off degree plan that shows what classes you will take, up until the day you complete your degree. The biggest downfall if you are applying prior to finishing before you graduate, is that your GPA is incomplete. In my case, mine would have been better as I still had 12 credits to go when my package was submitted.

To my recollection, my recruiter never mentioned needing a degree plan, but I assume that was because I already have a completed bachelor's degree. I submitted official copies of my running transcripts for my graduate degree.
