After OCS, SWOs go to BDOC (Basic Division Officer Course) and it is taught in Norfolk, VA and San Diego, CA. And then you go to your first duty station after you graduate from BDOC. I think it is nonaccompanied, but I am not sure.If I understand correctly, after OCS we will go to the SWOS school in Rhode Island for about 6 months. Does anyone know if this is considered accompanied tour (you can bring your family)? I'm trying to plan, because it seems like husband is deploying that time and we have two young kiddos.
Sounds like you'll beat us all out to the fleet though. Best of luck at bootcamp!BIG FAT NO for me. It's fine. I'll try again after I enlist
your recruiter is probably waiting for the NRD processor to look and send her an email instead of looking in the system herself.Im a little confused how people are finding out. Are civilians hearing because their Recruiter was sent an email? I messaged my recruiter and she said she gets updates sent to her phone but has not received news of anyone getting picked up from her command. Are you informed regardless of if you're Pro Rec Y or N?
At least if you do decide to get commissioned after being enlisted....you'll be considered a Mustang which has more respect in my opinion.BIG FAT NO for me. It's fine. I'll try again after I enlist
Just a heads up for reapplying as an enlisted member. The process is very different. If you have any questions regarding the process as a fleet applicant PM me and I will do my best to guide you.my recruiters going to meet me to give me my packet and ill retake the OAR and submit when i get some evals. Its all good

Especially when you have read the whole instruction and have your Chief say “ well I’ve never seen this package/instruction before”. But hey it was a great learning moment for the futureAlmost Like pulling teeth
Yeah it definitely builds character...and allows you to pay it forward for others seeking a commission. Im so thankful for all the mentorship I've gotten along the wayEspecially when you have read the whole instruction and have your Chief say “ well I’ve never seen this package/instruction before”. congrats! I'm similar to you. Pro Rec y from previous board, but I don't graduate until June. Do you have any info about how the process of getting a finsel/OCS date works for those of us still in school and needing to finish our degree? My recruiter doesn't seem to know. I'm just worried that I'll have to wait a long time after graduation to go to OCS due to how fast seats fill up.Hello everyone!
Been lurking for a bit now, but just got confirmation of a Pro Rec-Y.
