Your recruiter will reach out to you.Hello there! I’m new to this lol. But how do civilians find out if they get the commission or not?
buy this guy a beer!ie: Your recruiter saying your application is "at board" is virtually useless information. I'm willing to bet we all say that. It's likely just the standard status before the results are released.
I want whatever path will get me on an aircraft carrier or a MEU ship.Dumb question when/how do we decide in which SWO path we take?

Every SWO I spoke with prior to this said you wanted to be on a destroyer.
I just spoke with my recruiter and he told me that my application status is “at board”. That is either a no waiting to drop or that they are still not finished looking at everyone.

“At board” or “in session” typically means the results are not yet officially posted.
For me I want to be on a battleship. Like USS Iowa or Missouri

Doc,
Working with a recruiter feels like a more hands off approach from the enlisted process. I've worked with two different officer recruiters and the enlisted side seem to really care more about the prospects they have. But they put a lot of work on the applicant to get all their documents, and less hand-holding than the enlisted side. My OR, CPO type, was pretty good about keeping me up to date but I also had a stack of document ready for him before I even walked in.
