Small contribution to this thread that I feel is very important.
For those of you or "us" whom cut your teeth in the sandbox with numerous deployments to the Navy's best unknown vacation spots (not an exhaustive illustrative mind-map ) and have acquired an amazing artistic story line of underwater murals littered with topless ex-wives draped all over our bodies have recently discovered our KITs sitting idle, in a holding pattern so to speak until those ladies received bikini tops. Just a heads up, that is all. #coverups #alterations #delays

The topic is Tattoo under a thread for Becoming an Officer. Relatable that folks on here attempting to get a Tattoo waiver might consider what's coming ahead. Sorry didn't mean to post that in cryptic language. A few of us have fallen to that delay.

Recently took the ASTB (63 8/8/8) and I am in the process of getting my application ready. I have two tats on my ribs, not at all visible through a shirt, nothing suggestive. They're both more than a year old. Will this require a waiver, or am I good to go as long as I don't get any more?

Each tattoo requires a waiver, it’s a very simple process and most are “approved” on the spot. Other complicated ones are sent to recruiting command.
Also, why not ask your recruiter this question?

Thank you that doesn't sound like an issue. I'll ask my recruiter as well, I just was not able to get in touch with their office today. The chief recruiter did not seem to think it was going to present any issues when I was talking to him, but I have not had a chance to ask all my questions yet.
