Not unprecedented, but still pretty rare. The French CQ'd yesterday on Truman. I took this from vulture's row. They did pretty well for not having much (maybe any) experience landing on the boat.


That is some serious AOA/nose up in the wires. :D

Is that normal?

I vote yes: I've seen a few videos of SR-71 landings and go-arounds, and they had that same holy-c**p-he's-gonna-smack-the-tail pitch angle to it.

Maybe par for the course with a delta wing?

Why do think the COncorde had to resort to the complex drooping nose for landings?
