Nuke boats have diesels for backup and run them often for PMS...
in a chokepoint COMPTUEX/FLEETX environment where OPFOR SS's operate, they would operate the diesels mimicking native diesels with harmonics...

-1 for sub characteristics.
(but good stuff for an MC board, if they still have those?)

Classic move back in the day to throw off ASW pouncers inside the CVBG kill zone...i.e. throw off classification in light of CERTSUB for the CV/N kill...
