Question: What's the deelio with the C-5's nose gear? Does it lower itself to the ground to facilitate easier offload/on-load, or am I missing something?

Yup. The whole plane "squats" for loading. Freaky to watch; they'd fly into Nawfik all the time.

You need to get your eyes checked. I clearly see helos on the carrier on the left, and the carrier on the right looks to have a CVW embarked. Plus, what do you think took the picture?
