This is fact, but its unreal that (and I'm assuming this time period but it seems logical) in the middle of december in nevada which it can't be unbelievably warm she is in next to nothing on the flight line in front of a jet :tongue2_1

1. I was at Nellis this week and even the day after 3-8" of snow fell from the sky, it was quite pleasant. At night, it gets pretty cold though.

2. Been to Vegas? You can find showgirls in next to nothing almost everywhere on the strip. Not hard to make them an offer they can't refuse.

3. This was standard picture to get taken while visiting Nellis for Red Flag or other event. Easy do back in the day. These days, gotta mind the red line.

That is just one beautiful bird. Classic.

And fast as she looked (same engines as F-4 but could walk away from Phantom especially down low). Easy to believe it was same folks who brought the P-51 Mustang and F-86 Sabre into the world, but the T-2 Buckeye (a face even a mother would have a hard time loving)?

It is indeed a beautiful airplane, and this is a great photo. Thanks!

Funny little story here: I only worked around the, A-5 one time it was a det aboard the Indy for quals. We were in the middle of the, Atlantic during the winter and it was cold. I headed up to the roof one morning for ops and found they had an A-5 spinnin’ to melt the ice on the flight deck that had formed during the night. The plane was really low to the ground, and the heat from the exhaust could be directed to the ice on the deck. Some ships company flight deck PO looked at a few of us and said, “ That’s all this thing is good for.”

^^^

The "DUMystery" looks like an F-4 of some ilk,... but the radar scope is really weird.
