Never was a lanyard guy. in 30 years never wore one. Hated having it dangle loosely around my heck always in the way. I much preferred a spring loaded clip attached to jacket collar or shirt pocket flap. Also, didn't wear a clip on tie until after 9/11. Was also a very late adopting the wheeled suit case. Carried my suit case in right hand and kit bag in left while WALKING :eek: across the ramp from one concourse to another to change planes at ORD and DFW. Yep, I am that old. Only times I Wore the high viz vest was with check airman on the leg and in Mexico where the gate agents help me don it while reminding me it was airport/state regulation, not just company policy.
