Ejections
Interesting thread.
In Sept. I went to Oceana for the Airshow and reunion we set up. We were the first East coast squadron with the Tomcats and at the airshow our squadron flew their Tomcats.
I got to meet allot of our pilots and groundcrew that made it. It was the first time I saw them in 30 years, and Oceana sure changed. When I left the flight line was full of Phantoms, except for ours (VF-32) and VF-14's Tomcats. Now its full of Hornets.
One of our pilots were talking about the Tomcat and how much he liked flying it. The reason why was because it was the only plane he never had to Eject from.
He ejected from an F-8, A-7 (He was CAG at the time and lead the flight in, and was shot down) and a Phantom.
