Calm down... The guy said 5'10 is the limit for jet pilots. I said I met one who was taller than 5'10, so that must be wrong. How does that make me a "fucktool"? Deductive logic = against the rules?

What some people need to remember is that not everybody here is already a pilot or in the Navy or Marines yet. Some of us are heading in that direction, some of us are just trying to get more info. Doesnt mean you should all piss and moan and get your panties in a bunch when somebody doesn't know everything there is to know about everything in the aviation community. Everybody here was a noob "fucktool" at some point too. /endrant

"The guy" who said that, is the guy you're talking back to. I think his point was that to believe that 5'10 rule about jets (and especially my post about a "hobbit clause") is retarded.

If you read 2 threads on a subject before posting a question you would have gotten the joke and caught the blatant sarcasm. We're just all bitter about people posting the same question every week as if it was a brand new question. (and if you look back over it, a STICKY thread which you should have read to begin was linked to give you some information). Relax, and grow some thick skin. :)

Awesome.
Ok... So we all agree the 5'10 jet rule is retarded. Technically I didn't even ask a question. I just agreed with what was said.

Can't we all just get along? :D

Dude, if we had no aviation experience (we were all there) we might believe it, too. I believed dumber things I'm sure. Probably still do.
Years ago (brushes salt off arm) I seem to remember actually hearing an OSO saying there might be a height restriction of around 6' on going jets. "Tall guys can't handle the Gs." Hmmmm.

That said, there is in fact a cut-off though. Just ask MasterBates. But it based on some weird measurements, not just straight height.

You are now officially a fucktool. A few things. One, I'm calm, never get fired up over stupid. Two, I get it that sarcastic remarks might be hard to understand via the net. Three, try a freaking a search, there is plenty on the subject.
