Seriously, who gives a shit? They are no bigger idiots than these kids I see walking around with with ridiculously baggy clothes...laugh at them and move on.
There have been many times where i was either walking down the street, in a mall or somewhere that people like to get all dressed up and I see some people wearing parts of military uniforms and I don't just mean MARPATS, BDU'S, ACU'S etc; I mean like the USMC's blue dress jacket (which is the most common), the Army i guess class A's (w/e they call the green jacket). And on them they have patches all over the place, sometimes like upside-down, ranks from other branches, rips, and other stupid things. Personally this angers the hell out of me :icon_rage because I feel they are degrading the value that the uniform carries and disrespecting all of those that wear the uniform and that have passed away wearing that uniform.
So basically, I want to know if anybody else feels the same way about this or if not what your opinions are.
It doesn't bother me as they're not trying to be "us." They're clearly never anywhere close to uniform regulations.
They're trying to be unique...which they are....

I am not understanding this statement. Are you implying that people wearing the uniform items as described might actually be vets?

I think it pissed off my husband more when he would see military members wearing improper clothing...ie. more so the baggy pants, no belt or just enough so that it doesn't fall completely off, showing of boxers, long TH, or Polo shirts that should be tucked..not tucked. Happened more so in Cali than any other place we were stationed. I think they were trying to impersonate K-fed imho.![]()

I never got that with Marines, who cares what you wear off duty? I always laughed at all of the Marines who showed up in their civilian 'uniform' at bars and clubs, or T-shirts with a giant EGA or bulldog on it. Kind of defeats the purpose.......![]()
