I don't notice it very much, but then again I currently live in Hawaii where coats are never needed. If someone is doing it to make a statement, then F*$K them. Otherwise it's possibly out of ignorance or nostalgia for their younger days, either of which don't bother me so much.

There have been many times where i was either walking down the street, in a mall or somewhere that people like to get all dressed up and I see some people wearing parts of military uniforms and I don't just mean MARPATS, BDU'S, ACU'S etc; I mean like the USMC's blue dress jacket (which is the most common), the Army i guess class A's (w/e they call the green jacket). And on them they have patches all over the place, sometimes like upside-down, ranks from other branches, rips, and other stupid things. Personally this angers the hell out of me :icon_rage because I feel they are degrading the value that the uniform carries and disrespecting all of those that wear the uniform and that have passed away wearing that uniform.

So basically, I want to know if anybody else feels the same way about this or if not what your opinions are.

well, from one "civilian" to another, I would say that your time, effort, and thought would be better utilized by keeping your eyes on the prize (butter bars I assume?). I agree that in some cases it seems disrespectful, but honestly, most of them probably have no idea that it offends some people.

I think there is a difference between the trendy non-uniform issue cargo pants with camo on em (as is shown, so nicely, above) as well as other similar articles, and a legit uniform worn improperly (often including rank and other legit patches).

I think it pissed off my husband more when he would see military members wearing improper clothing...ie. more so the baggy pants, no belt or just enough so that it doesn't fall completely off, showing of boxers, long TH, or Polo shirts that should be tucked..not tucked. Happened more so in Cali than any other place we were stationed. I think they were trying to impersonate K-fed imho.
