What NRC considers competitive

Good Morning Everyone,
I had a general question, may be a stupid one so forgive me. For NFO, I know the "competitive" gpa standards are not as high as they are for SNA. With that being said, if you apply for an air slot and have a low college GPA "2.5-2.75" would they automatically consider you for NFO and not SNA assuming your ASTBE scores are within competitive standards for both SNA and NFO due to your low GPA?

Given the age on your profile you are over the age limit for Supply, your degree is good, but your GPA is low for IWC programs, that being said your best shot is Intel and CWO

@RUFiO181 have you heard anything on how the next SNA/SNFO boards are looking in terms of numbers and need of the navy? The last board had a pretty high acceptance rate and I was wondering if that trend is going to continue or if the navy's quota for SNA and SNFO applicants is filling up. Thank you.

Major: Marine Biology- 3.2 cumulative
PRK surgery
ASTB: 59/7/7/7
varsity swim/baseball
tons of extracurriculars including club sports, research groups and volunteer hours
3 great recommendations from past employers and professors that i did research with.
2 tattoos, one is a half sleeve
4 speeding tickets, none reckless
I have everything complete, just waiting for boards to convene in April, let me know what you guys think!

Listen man, I just got in with a 52, 6/7/6, and my GPA was 2.57. As long as those 2 speeding tickets are good, I think you have a better shot than I would have if we went up against each other. Every board is different, but your scores are DEFINITELY competitive.

If they weren't reckless, I have a hard time believing that NRC would turn down someone with two tickets in their lifetime! I think if they screened out every candidate and below with your scores that ever had a ticket, they'd run out of applicants. I'm not an expert on this by any stretch of the imagination, but I'm just telling you what I've observed on the selection rates recently.

I had 3 tickets FWIW. I was having a discussion with the OR in my office the other day and there is a certain number at which the NRD CO must approve a waiver, and a higher number at which the NRC CO must also approve a waiver. I don't know the numbers off the top of my head but I'm sure @RUFiO181 does.

Both. It depends on the severity and what the outcome was. Some incidents are show stoppers even though you were just formally charged but not found guilty.

This is what I'm concerned about. I'm currently active duty going on 8 years now.

I was arrested and held in county for three days before being released. I never saw a judge, charges were dropped and my command did not feel the need to crucify me by taking me to mast or court martial. It's a long story with an even longer history leading up to my arrest but I'm curious if anyone has dealt with a situation like this before.
I read about addressing any red marks or concerns in the application process by being upfront instead of trying to hide/pretend it never happened on these forums. What, if any, would be the best avenue to do that when applying to OCS?

I understand I won't really know unless I try but the apprehension is still there.
