We had a civilian photographer assigned to my last unit; well this guy jumped in the back of one of our regular C-130H's to take pics of the brand new C-130J models we just got, for a little propaganda photo op. Halfway through taking some awesome shots he moves to the back of the ramp, and...

There goes his photographer's bag, right toward the J model flying behind them. Something over the radio, to the effect of "Whoa. What in the hell was that?" came from the J.
Missed it, luckily. That would have been a crazy headline, I'm sure.

Nah, that is a dummy raft we use to practice our drop patterns (we fly at 200' / 130 kts and kick out three red bags tied together with polypro line and try to get them 50' upwind or downwind of a boat).

Might want to try Ca'd'Oro (www.cadorojewelers.com). They are located in the Venetian Grand Canal Shoppes in Las Vegas. The salesmen knocked off 18% on a Seamaster Planet Ocean without me asking for it. Had it mailed to my house out of state and did not have to pay sales tax. It was the best price I could find from an authorized dealer. I have no idea if they will sell or discount to a phone order.

Just got the Planet Ocean. Did go with the orange. It was what sold me on it. Different then all the other watches that eveyone is wearing. As a bonus, when I am at the bottom of the sea at 2000 ft, at least my watch will still be working when they find me.

I've got an Omega Speedmaster X-33. The squadron got a good deal on an order of them and the squadron logo is engraved on the back. Purists will say they don't like the digital, but I like its dual functionality.

Anyone interested in getting an X-33? Myself a couple other guys are trying but didn't get enough interest to get the group buy. Plan is just aviator wings engraved on the back and your name if you want it. Cost would be under a grand. PM me for more details if you're interested, sorry winged guys only.

No...I think the X-33 is objectively hideous. At any price. I would be interested in a Speedmaster or Seamaster GMT group get however.

There may be prettier watches out there, but I think it looks better in person than in that pic. And Phrog: What gives? $890? Pushaw. $600 baby. Guess we had more interest.
