Which watch?

For sure! @ChuckMK23 purchased his Speedy Pro [manual wind/metal bracelet/hesalite crystal] from an Omega Authorized Dealer named Chitown Watch for around $3,600 - $3,700...new-in-presentation box [including all accessories] with a full Omega warranty. That's the lowest price for a new Speedy Pro from an Omega AD that I've ever seen.

ChuckMK23 the day he received his Speedy Pro following the unboxing...

Beautiful - one squared away Speedy! New crystal and bezel/tachymeter?

Thanks! New crystal and bezel, new balance, new pushers and crown (not sure why), new main spring, and a complete cleaning and re-lubrication of the watch. Turns out dropping your watch on a tile floor is poor technique. :( Fortunately, USAA covered the repair bill, and she's now under a fresh warranty.

I also got my Avenger GMT back from Breitling yesterday. Happy to have it back, pretty annoyed that at 2 1/2 years I had to send it back b/c it was 5 minutes fast per hour. If I had to do it again I'd go for a GMT Master.

This is good to know, I'm looking to upgrade my watch and I'm with USAA.

This is good to know, I'm looking to upgrade my watch and I'm with USAA.

For high-value watches, I recommend a valuable personal property rider for each individual piece. I individually insure mine by serial number and include pictures of the face and case back along with a scan of the sales slip or appraisal. It takes no more than 5-10 minutes to set up online, and the annual premiums cost about 1% of what you put down as the value of the watch. Well worth it, in my experience.

When I broke my Speedmaster, I told USAA what happened, and that I had already sent it to a repair shop. They said, "No problem, you're covered. Just send the estimate when it comes in." As soon as the estimate got sent, they ponied up the cash (as in within 24 hours.) They will cover repairs up to the listed value on the rider.
