The only thing extremist Muslims hate more than an infidel is an apostate. Try cracking a book once in a while.

Brett

An apostate who openly clashes with the world's top Infidel? (in the extremist's mind). Granted, I'll admit you have a point.

My objection is to candidates seeking to be CEO of America and commander-in chief of our troops that have never been responsible for making payroll, balanced a corporate budget, negotiated a business deal, put on a uniform (any kind of uniform worn by one who serves or defends), etc. I wouldn't ask a guy who watches E.R. every week to be the new CEO of Blue Cross/Blue Shield, and I sure as hell wouldn't ask him to make decisions affecting my health.

..And another good point.

Alright...before this gets utterly ridiculous...

2) She is a fairly moderate democrat. I think she genuinely cares about military personnel, she seems to be fiscally conservative and shrewd with money, and has taken a conservative stance on the war. I have not fully reviewed her voting record, though.

I know this is colloquial evidence but...I have a friend who was in HMX-1 when the Clintons were in office and this is not the impression he has. The general consensus seemed to be that Bill was affable and thoughtful and that...well...she wasn't. Take it for what its worth.

Uhhhhhhhhh...no.

In all fairness, I haven't fully reviewed her voting record either, but from what I know of it...this, she is not.

But, but, but... she's a CLINTON!

Seriously, reviewing her actual voting record... or really, anyone that one claims to expound upon... is well worth doing, if only so you don't sound like you're talking out of your ass.

She voted for the war ... but now shes kinda not really still for sucess but still sorta kinda thinks we should leave ... shes kinda not really for the increase in troop deployment size but sorta kinda is ... yeah, I do sound like Im talking out of my ass. Forget it ...

I'd replace "Muslims" with "believers" or "religions." Under the Banner of Heaven is very illustrative of this point.

I actually took a side trip through Colorado City after reading that book (I was in the neighborhood). It was 10 times creepier than the book makes it sound.

WRT the Clintons and the military, I believe young Bill was quoted as "loathing the military" during the 60s.

Theres actually a retired Col. who wrote a book pointing out some of the Clinton administrations complete and utter disdain for the military and servicemen in general. One of the more glarring things to me was that members of the military attached to the white house were not allowed to wear their uniforms and instead dictated to wear suit and tie at all times in the white house. Says a lot about the character of the man in charge at the time that his ego would be so easily bruised by seeing men and women in a uniform he ran away and hid from.
