A combo between funding for orders and class availability. I couldn't be placed in the last couple of FY16 classes cuz they there filled, so I had to wait until the first FY17 class.. but primarily it was funding for the quota and funding to cut the orders that held me from going

When it comes to sending someone to OCS funding isn't and never has been an issue, it is all driven by manning, they can only commission so many of a specific designator per year, OCS class sizes are also not an issue, they had had classes as large as 150 and they just split them into 2 groups.
We were sending people to OCS when we had civilians that were told not to come in due to budget issues.

I was a CNATTU C - School Instructor when I got selected, and was the QA LPO. I kept that job until I left. Every now and then the triad and divo's would pull me aside for some mentorship and training on some stuff.. sat in on some more meetings that I wasn't so privy to prior to being selected. Overall not much changed aside from the occasional "AD1, come to my office" mentorship talks haha..Jason,
I'm curious, once you got selected what was your role in your squadron as an AD1? Did the officers and chiefs treated you differently? More mentorship?
yea, interesting.. different perspectives on things like this usually are interesting haha.Interesting.
