Why the hell can't we get away from all caps messages? We're not limited to a damn type set on data . . . we're so damn retarded, all you have to do is look at that.
I can't hear you, CAN YOU SHOUT INSTEAD?

Speaking of NSC, did the "Friday Funnies" go away? I was thinking of it the other day and the newest one I could find in the message folders was a couple years old. The arrogant tone (ha ha, this guy stood up and hit his head on an open cupboard door, let's not be like this guy, this other guy fell of a ladder, ha ha what an idiot) and all around waste of money of paying someone to compile those messages used to really piss me off.

Why is it that... in the year 2018... they still think sending a message in all CAPS, and in a 1970's-style format is acceptable?

Once again, that "innovation" idea just cannot take root.

Painful.

It was especially frustrating when I read one about one of my enlisted guys who had an unfortunate accident. From then on, whenever someone would post the newest issue in the squadrons spaces I would go in, tear them down and throw them away. We shouldn't be making fun of our own people's misfortunes like that.

I'm so glad it's not a thing anymore.

I know I've mentioned this before, but... This is also like one of those stupid safety posters that the NSC puts out that get put up in the urinals. One of them was clearly a picture taken in Haiti after the earthquake and was of a SeaBee standing on a front loader used as an elevator platform so he could get high enough to fix whatever was left of some crap-shack. The blurb was something about how helping people in need is good and all, but how about we use proper equipment and not make do with what we have on hand. In a disaster zone? Seriously? Tone deaf much?

All of the various safety nazi stuff on the aviation side that was waived by the Flag would probably have blown the NSC drone's mind.

I hate that smug bitch. I had a weird idea to find out who he was, cut his brake lines, and then write a summary of the ground incident that went something like HA YOU STUPID ASSHOLE YOU DROVE A CAR WITHOUT TESTING THE BRAKES AND NOW YOU'RE HURT LIKE AN IDIOT, in the style of his Friday safety grams.

It was a weird idea, like I said, but I would have found joy in it.

That selectively paid out ACIP policy really left a good taste in my mouth. I guess 5000 flight hours doesn't deserve full flight pay. First World Problems I guess... thanks for the memories, good and bad, Navy.
