They'll probably return them to Somalia and destroy their weapons. It's not like they're going to Guantanamo Bay (I am being serious that is not a threadjack or an instigation to debate GITMO).
I thought I read somewhere that they will be sent to Kenya for trial.
Maybe the Black Pearl is coming to pick them up?I don't understand how these guys are getting away after the ransom is paid. It seems like it would be a good idea to arrest/kill them right after they leave the ship that they were holding hostage.
Talk about a SWO wet dream.
Looks like they had round two today:

This most recent story says "US Marines" in the photo caption. I don't know if that's correct or not, but if it is, then it appears the Marines are having all the fun as usual. Pirates beware!
I guess we'll find out after they make a documentary about it.
Does anyone with a working knowledge of this issue have any insight as to what will actually happen to them? I assume andrews7 is right, we can't hold/detain them forever. What kind of jurisdiction do we have (if any)?
CTF 151 (the counterpiracy task force) is dropping pirates off in Kenya...Kenya being willing to prosecute pirates is a big reason we can actually do these operations, gives us a way to dispose of them once we've actually caught them.
