Have you considered retaking the ASTB? That 5 AQR might be hurting you a little bit. Scores aren't bad by any means, the 7 PFAR is pretty solidI am also considering other options such as the army and the air force since the board for us is far away. Doesn't hurt to have a plan b or c in place
I was going to recommend that he should log some more flight hours. I wouldnt risk losing the 7 PFAR. OAR and AQR can be made up for with other parts of his applicationHave you considered retaking the ASTB?
How much improvement did you have from the 2nd test compared to the 1st?Thats my 2nd test, so if God forbid I bomb that last test I'm screwed lol
My first test was a 4, 5, 5 with a 40How much improvement did you have from the 2nd test compared to the 1st?
I'd maybe give it a go then and submit for this one. You improved from your first time around pretty well so I'm sure if you studied hard and did some of the practice sims that float around this site, you could bump your scores a little. My first test was a 4, 5, 5 with a 40
Thats ballsy asf risking a 7 PFAR on a final attemptI'd maybe give it a go then and submit for this one. You improved from your first time around pretty well so I'm sure if you studied hard and did some of the practice sims that float around this site, you could bump your scores a little.
I'd absolutely submit with these scores you're not wrong, just dont know how much the AQR is taken into account with the PFARThats ballsy asf risking a 7 PFAR on a final attempt
TL;DR: According to @FormerRecruitingGuru, a 58/6/7/7 ASTB and 3.3 GPA is what NRC considers competitive for SNA. The spreadsheets seem to support this as well.I'd absolutely submit with these scores you're not wrong, just dont know how much the AQR is taken into account with the PFAR
sounds about right to me, although many say that your OAR is simply a ticket to the board.TL;DR: According to @FormerRecruitingGuru, a 58/6/7/7 ASTB and 3.3 GPA is what NRC considers competitive for SNA. The spreadsheets seem to support this as well.
I did some looking around, and found some posts that might help with your question:
What NRC considers competitive
Admins, request sticky on this one. Frequently I get asked what is considered "competitive". For those not familiar with this, a competitive profile is a set of preferred (not minimum) qualifications based off previous selection boards. This is essentially what Navy Recruiting Command...www.airwarriors.com

Haha hey I gotta wait 6 months for my LASIK waiver before I can put in so it sounds like most of yall will be in before me anyway Ah damn man. Is there no way to speed up that process? ...so I don't submit to the same board as you hahawww.airwarriors.com
I think @exNavyOffRec has said before that the only part about the ASTB score the board really cares about is PFAR.I'd absolutely submit with these scores you're not wrong, just dont know how much the AQR is taken into account with the PFAR
