Are you submitting ISPP?I got an email awhile back, and no official confirm of a cancellation, but all the stars align and allude that it more than likely did

Spots go to USAFA first, then AFROTC next, and any leftovers if any go for those entering OTS.For those who aren’t in, if your goal is to fly then I say go for it! The air force does generally only take guys and gals with STEM degrees, from my understanding. But the service is losing pilots left and right, so if you’ve got a competitive package shoot your shot. Worst answer is no. But consistency is key! Keep applying!
Was in AFROTC and was looking into OTS for a while. What I have learned is that Air Force really likes the "whole person package", So having strong volunteer experience, leadership experience, etc is a strongly recommended. If you've got flight hours that will bump your PCSM scores up quite a bit.Has anyone here ever looked into Air Force pilot boards and think it’s worth a shot (as a back up)?
I had no clue lol. Not sure where they are nor did I ever see any in my 5 years active. The more you knowYou do know the Navy has a C130 fleet too right.
Only tankers I ever saw were Air Force KC-135's and F18's with an ARS pod thrown on them. Just googled it looks like they're flown almost exclusively by the Navy reserve. Different world to me being in the CAGAerial refueling? Lol. Jets need to fill their tanks at some point.
C-130 is the reserve side. We are about to get new c-130 (C-130J) in the next decade or soOnly tankers I ever saw were Air Force KC-135's and F18's with an ARS pod thrown on them. Just googled it looks like they're flown almost exclusively by the Navy reserve. Different world to me being in the CAG
Typically on deployment our fighters flew 6-8 hour missions in country and would hit Air Force super tankers or tankers flown by foreign militaries. The F/A18E/F can also be set up as a tanker and every squadron in the CAG stands up 2 to 3 of their jets as tankers. I've never personally seen a C-130 fuel something other than the Sea Stallion helo but I just assumed they were also Air ForceTrue, they're used for transport on the Reserve side. They fly patterns at the airport my flight school is at. But I'm almost positive AD has a fleet for refueling. Or am I confusing that with the Air Force. Do Navy jets refuel from Air Force tankers?
I just confused tf out of myself lol I'm almost positive the Navy had their own tankers.
Its all good brother, we're here to share information and knowledge!Well, sorry everyone! I'll admit I was wrong on this one lol. For whatever reason I had it in my head that there was a larger C130 fleet on the active side and were utilized more than they actually are. Learned something new today.
I got no clue how it works sorry, but I wish you (and everyone here) the bestSo, I’m trying to slide into this October board via ISPP.
I have to retake my ASTB sept. 07. Obviously I won’t make the deadline. Does anyone have any gouge on how the ISPP submission works with deadlines for boards? I know we don’t compete with the regular pool, but they do slide our quotas in with the boards.
Here’s to hoping!
ISPP has no quota, if you meet the requirements you are in. If the board has 100 spots and there are 10 ISPP then the remaining 90 go to non-ISPP, if there are 100 spots and there are 20 ISPP then the remaining 80 are for non-ISPPSo, I’m trying to slide into this October board via ISPP.

From the AF Recruiter I talked to at an event yesterday "Kinda difficult" isn't even close, "nearly non-existent" is more like it.Was in AFROTC and was looking into OTS for a while. However, from my understanding, getting a pilot slot through OTS is kinda difficult. If I remember correctly, the past march board only had 4 active duty pilot slots. Though I think its not that low anymore.
Take the AFOQT and TBAS and if you get a PCSM of at least 60 then I say go for it.
ISPP deadline is in line with the regular board since that is where our slots come from. Depending how complete your package is minus the Astb, it’s doable. So, I’m trying to slide into this October board via ISPP.
