I’ve been reading the thread for a while but never posted. I figured it’s finally time to post something now that the Blue Angels are practicing over my university. I submitted a while back, but got pushed to the Oct board when the Aug board was canceled. I’m applying for SNA and BDCP with a 66 8/6/6 and a 3.58 GPA in mechanical and aerospace engineering. I’m not confident with my 6 PFAR, but I figured I’d go through a board before retaking.

Welcome! I always love watching the Blues no matter how many times I see them. It's usually 2 or 3 times a year lol
I'm not sure how competitive the board will be, so the 6 PFAR might be okay. I retook after getting a 6 PFAR, but I also had a lower GPA

I see you're from NJ like me... The Blue Angels were flying here today??? I know AIRFEST is in Cape May this weekend.
I’m from New Jersey, but I go to school at Case Western in Cleveland Ohio. They’re here for the air show this weekend.

Relatable. We had the Thunderbirds get rained out recently. Tends to follow the demo squadrons wherever they go.

It calls for rain here every time the airshow is in town so hopefully it’s a false forecast like usual lol. I didn’t get to watch the thunderbirds much last year, my recruiter was working the navy booth and they started their performance when him and I were talking. He said I shouldn’t care to watch since they’re AF fellas and don’t fly as well as Navy guys ?

hot take: Jantzen sim is the most frustrating thing on the planet.
You’ve already taken the ASTB once so you remember how different the actual test was from the sim. If anything, practicing the sim too much made me worse at the test

My PC’s power supply jsut recently blew and fried everything else inside.. stuck with the Xbox now which does have the new sim on it, just no more DCS for me *sigh*
