Current administration rewriting history?

T&P article highlighting the removal of the history of hero’s at Arlington. As a veteran, this, in my opinion, is disrespectful & disgusting.
History hasn’t been rewritten, just conglomerated. All the figures mentioned in the article are still listed, but under broader categories. Now, Colin Powell, is listed on the same page as Sheridan or Chappy James. Thurgood Marshall is still there, just under the SCOTUS category.

Like you, I agree the execution was poorly done and does reek of disrespect because it didn’t come with a reasonable explanation.

To them, the cruelty and disrespect is a feature, not a bug.
It's all about shoving it down your throat...especially getting these distinguished congress people to approve some of these noms...I'll leave it at that.

This, as well as the some of the other stuff (Make Sailors Skinny Again), points to a DoD leadership team that's in over its head - something most objective observers anticipated once nominations were announced. Imagine you just took command of a squadron that's supposed to be preparing for an upcoming and arduous deployment, but instead of doing the important things, you've got the maintenance department repainting the CAG jet.

It's policy by Mad Libs (linked for the younger crowd).

I read a piece recently that essentially said that Hegseth is focusing on the same kinds of things a Company Commander would focus on, because that's really the extent of his military experience. No staff work, no joint work, no meaningful PME... basically a two or three tour JO. He's obviously not stupid, so I hope that he will learn and grow into his role. Not sure what to think of DSD Feinberg, but at least he has got some experience running a large organization and can provide some mentorship at OSD.

I’m still waiting for “Make America Affordable Again” to start as promised…. 😉🤣
…and the end of the Ukraine-Russia war.

On the acquisition side, I have a friend who has interviewed for some positions well up the food chain. He said the arrogance of the incoming is awe inspiring. They alone can fix acquisition. McNamara’s whiz kids V2.

He had good things to say about the new Secnav. Sharp and motivated.
