I haven’t gotten a finsel letter or anything “official” from the navy. Just confirmation through my recruiter. Should I be concerned?ok and when were you told you were leaving/got your finsel letter?

ok gotcha i dont think so but pretty sure (pls fact check me). That you eventually should get the finsel letter and swear in etc. before OCSI haven’t gotten a finsel letter or anything “official” from the navy. Just confirmation through my recruiter. Should I be concerned?
Just adding. I am also civilian. Verbal notification on 12/6/24. Also still waiting on a date. Was told to assume Jul/Aug. Someone in my region just got a date, who's also supply selectee. I am hoping that means I will get a date sometime soon. I was told I was FY25.I got verbal notification on 12/6/24 from my recruiter that I was selected and would be leaving in July of this year. I requested to be considered for earlier placement of a slot opened up, and didn’t hear anything back until a few weeks ago via email. In that email, my recruiter gave me a ship date of 8/24 but told me to be ready any time as one of her recruits with a request in had been moved to the March class. Hope this helps!
Thanks for adding your experience! Tbh, I’ve been uneasy about how informal everything has been. I put my packet in last September and told people I was joining the Navy. Here I am 6 months later with no official “proof” that I’m even going, and people around my small town are starting to call me a liar 😂 Glad to know that this is normalJust adding. “Why you always lyyyyyinggg” 😂 💀😂😂😂 jajaj yeah. Everybody keeps asking me when I’m going. Are you already in training? I’m just like idek bro. Sometime this year probably 😭😂
yes same as you guys. The waiting in limbo has been unsettling. I may have had harsher words in my mind about it at times. But I have heard that they do everything in batches. So once people start getting dates, it should cascade quite nicely. I rarely get on here, but I am glad I did today. Thanks for adding your experience! I’m also 10AUG. Anyone from Hawaii?Found out the following week after I got the call. I am active duty so idk if that makes a difference. 10AUG
What do you mean, can you give more context? Are you AD?We're having a meeting with a PRT in 2months. I will probably not get a finsel date until after that. Anyone else in that situation?
I’m coming from civi side and got a date of 8/24/25, but no mention of needing to do a PRT prior to leaving. Is this a thing everyone is having to do? I was under the impression that this was on first Friday after beginning training. My recruiter hasn’t been easily accessible, so I haven’t been able to get much information about a whole lot of anything concerning what’s expected of me and what I can expect from the Navy. The Nov2024 supply board I was initial selection notified. While waiting for the call for final selection date for OCS, I now have a date to meet with our regional command (meet and greet) and they will give us a PRT. Most likely will not receive a finsel date until after this new thing they are doing. And no, I am coming from civilian side.
I think it is a bit mixed up. Perhaps my region is doing something different. Seems you already have your OCS date, so you are good to go, I assume. This is some new thing they are having our region do. I do not yet have an OCS date and finsel letter.I’m coming from civi side and got a date of 8/24/25, but no mention of needing to do a PRT prior to leaving. Is this a thing everyone is having to do? I have a ship date but no finsel letter. It seems odd that I would get a ship date without actually being final selected, but it also seems odd that I haven’t signed a service agreement or anything binding if they’ve committed to sending me.
