FY09 STA-21 Soup to selection and beyond MEGA thread

I hope the board considered my AS. I finished my last set of classes on the 29th of August. I had the college's registrar send me a letter stating I would receive my degree on that date and put it in my package as a way to circumvent the deadline of Aug 1st.

If Coastline is a NCDLP school (which I think it is) then it should be an accredited school.

from what i hear, an AS has alot of weight with the board

Remember to apply to multiple schools to see who is going to award maximum credit. Last year I had 75 units with Embry Riddle including an AS. I applied to University of Tampa and a couple state schools in California. Tampa awarded 56 units towards a BA in Business Marketing while the California Schools awarded 36-40. I have 90 units on my applications this year and hope to transfer 60 to San Diego State.

Well hopefully the degree will offset my first time applying to the program. It seems that most of you guys have applied once or twice already. Good luck to us all.

It's true. I am trying to be optimistic, but I've already started planning my classes for next semester and thinking of way I can improve my package. I just want to find out either way!

I've already talked to one of the local community colleges about classes starting soon after results are expected out. All i have to do is go in and finalize everything. My biggest concern at this point is the personal statement- can anyone think a good way to broach the subject of being a second year applicant? Just throw in a line like "i have previously submitted a package, but was not selected. since then i have done much to make this year's package more competitive"??

Come on already!! It's the first.

I am also sooooo sooooo nervous too.

now, now... it's almost time. anyone in the Norfolk area that wants something to do tonight should come watch a soccer game at Fleet Rec park at 1830. We're going to win :D oh, and since it's off-base, beers are allowed! :D
