01JUN26 SNA/SNFO board

Would you expect that ISEL applicants would begin receiving a decision on their applications soon? Or do you expect even those of use with ISEL applications from February/March have a few more weeks/months?
Some ISEL applicants from February/March have heard back. I know of at least one guy on the March board that applied 3/2/26 and heard back 3/17/26. It's truly just a case-by-case thing and nobody can give you a direct answer without speaking to somebody at PERS-43.

Wild, wonder why my Feb application has been stuck “In Session”. Didn’t require any waivers, couldn’t have really scored much higher. Wonder if I really did shoot myself putting NFO as a second preference.

Just my opinion, but I think this is a combination of factors that are snowballing, and the applicant pool is where most of the backups get fixed. Most likely, it's the issues the Navy is having regarding the timeline of training pipelines, e.g., maintenance issues with the T-45C causing backups in intermediate/advanced, which causes backups for those class-up pools, which backs up primary (which is already backed up as is), which backs up NIFE. Now you have a surplus of SNA's sitting around in Pensacola with no way to expedite them through the pipeline. This trickles down to the boards, where they're told that they literally can't take any new SNA's for an indefinite amount of time. Next thing you know, the last 4 SNA boards have been cancelled. Combine that with the current job market, causing an increased number of applicants, and you've got a perfect storm. I've read in other threads that this is nothing new, and it will sort out eventually, but it might suck for a while until then. I've also heard about NIFE increasing the passing standards to try and weed out fresh Ensigns.

As someone in the beginning stages of my application, this seems like the worst timing for me lol. At 29, I don't have a ton of time for boards to be canceled regularly for the next couple years. Hoping for ISEL scores on the ASTB next month to at least try to expedite the process.

I wouldn't worry too much. Getting your foot in the door is always the first step. A lot of things might cause road bumps, but getting started is the best bet you can always make
