03 NOV 2025, SNA/SNFO BOARD

Dude, that sucks… Do you have all the forms completed and sent to him? I’m not sure what goes into the process for the recruiter side, but my recruiter made it seem pretty straightforward and quick once sent him back all of the paperwork. I’m sure @exNavyOffRec or @FormerRecruitingGuru will have a better answer for you though.
I finished NASIS yesterday, MEPS 2 weeks ago, no waivers needed for anything. I know he's waiting for MEPS to send him some official document. I did my TBAS 2 weeks ago. We took pics of my tattoos and filled out some forms for that. My LORs, Motivational statement are finished and we put it into some document I signed. He has all my official college transcripts. He said he needs to find a form and send it to me for my one time marijuana use years ago.

I talked with my recruiter today on the phone, and he basically said the Oct 3rd due date is for him to have all the paperwork in, and because the process takes a lot of time he wouldn't be able to make it. He did guarantee me a spot for January though. I wish my recruiter was as fast as everyone else's.
How does that work? How is he able to just guarantee you a spot? By any chance are you ISEL?

I’m submitting a package for October 3rd, and as far as I’m aware it was a couple documents to sign in the office, a trip to MEPS, and taking the ASTB. I can’t imagine it’s *that* difficult to throw those together in a short time-frame, granted they’ve been completed already.

Sorry buddy

I don’t think the problem is actually putting all your documents together but your package doesn’t just get sent directly to the board once you submit everything. It has to go through a civilian processor who is the person who actually assembles your application. Your MEPS info also has to be sent to the Navy medical office to be reviewed and processed which can take a bit.

I just went to MEPS on Monday, hopefully that is enough time to get the final approval from BUMED.

On the other hand, I'm not totally satisfied with my scores and planned to retake the ASTB later in late October / early November anyways. Trying for a 70/8/8/8

Hello, I took my ASTB on 8/14/25 and submitted my medical prescreening paperwork that same day but have still not heard anything back from MEPs to schedule an appointment or tell me they need more information on something. It has just been radio silence for a month and a half now. When did y'all submit prescreening paperwork and how long did it take to actually get into MEPs? Recruiter says that all he can do is see that he sent in the paperwork but I'm starting to think it got lost or overlooked somewhere. Any insight on timeline or suggestions on what I should do would be appreciated. Thank you.

From my experience I was able to get into MEPS in less than a week, 4 days to be exact. From my understanding my recruiter scheduled an appointment for me asap and I was able to get it knocked out.

I got scheduled within a week. Not sure if your recruiter can ask them to check up on your paperwoek but it may be worthwhile to find out since it’s taking quite a while for you.

Seeing some other people hearing this from their recruiters... but mine also informed me that SNA slots are filled and they aren't reviewing packets for Oct3/Nov board. He said it is true despite the most recent board schedule PDF showing the oct3 board as open. It was unclear whether this affects ISEL or not.

This is NOT what I wanted to hear on a Saturday night…
