OCS 03Nov2023 SNA/SNFO Board

From my understanding on ship out dates, pretty sure it goes by fiscal year, quarterly. On MyNavyHR our board shows up as “3/4” I understand that to be 3rd quarter (April, May, June) so that’s when I’m betting our ship out dates will be. But hopefully we’ll see soon. I’m checking SharePoint everyday for results. Lol.
Thats probably a fair bet. Do you have that link to the webpage?
Nope that isn't what that means as all, it is just identifying what board out of how many it is. There are ones that are x/1, x/2, x/3 and x/4.

Makes sense, thanks for the correction. Also, can’t remember if anyone has answered this questions, but do you know if that new PA is applicable to this board?

@exNavyOffRec Would you happen to know the PA process?
1. Does it work like a regular board, meaning that its just the same process as this board?
Or
2. We submit our packages to a separate program/people that would be a somewhat more direct process?

From what my officer processor said, it’s not a board, you’re just immediately selected based on those criteria and can ship sooner. Everyone else goes to the board as usual

I was told the same as well. Just trying to confirm. Thank you.

I have to imagine those who meet the criteria for auto-select under the new PA have an very high chance of selection at this board. For those of you in the know, do you know why this PA was enacted or why previous PAs were enacted?

You are automatically selected IF the OCM agrees.

They are probably going off of averages like they did before, this is the third round I know of they have tried this, it didn't last too long the other times.

By didn't last too long, how long are we talking? Like several boards? Seems strange to keep reinstituting the program just for it to go away unless it's specifically designed as a short-term solution to something. I don't assume you have the answer, I'm just rambling. Some sort of mission intent statement would be nice, but perhaps that isn't shared publicly.

That's rough. Is the spread sheet correct in that your packet isn't at-board?
Correct. I withdrew because my recruiter had talked me into going SNFO and it didn't feel right. Got my vision stuff cleared and now proceeding for SNA. Wonder what the next board will look like. I want to retake the ASTB but I'm being told I really don't need to with 57 7/7/8.
