I think that would just depend on your command releasing you.
My DH seems very adamant on sending me on an IA I didn't ask for. I wouldn't be worried about the deployment if it didn't interfere with potentially going to OCS. DH said, "eh don't worry about it, you'll still go eventually"

I talked to my OIC about this. Essentially your OCS date has to get approved by your command. If your command really needs you they’ll keep you for the duration of the deployment. This is a bit weird because it’s a IA. My guess is you will finish your IA and class up after. Or your command could find someone else to fill the IA billet.

That paints a better picture. My command is apparently desperate to get me out there to work on a mission. They know all about my intention to go to OCS. I can wait for OCS as long as it can wait for me.

I had to get a waiver. It was fairly straight forward, just kind of time consuming, and the uncertainty of whether it was going to get approved or not wasn't great. Luckily I had all the relevant documentation prepared as I did my flight physical after my FAA waiver was approved, so I just included the required docs and didn't have to do anything extra.
What is the FAA waiver if you don’t mind me asking?

Like a medical waiver with the FAA. Childhood history of ADHD (I always thought I was misdiagnosed). About a year and a half ago before I finished my bachelor's, I thought it would be a good idea to get enrolled in private flight lessons. After starting my instructor advised I get started with the medical side before getting heavily invested (great advice too). Anyway to get my waiver I had to go through a fairly long (and expensive) psych eval, it took nearly 9 months for the FAA to approve the waiver. NAMI was a bit quicker processing it in like 5 months. As far as I was concerned for completing my application, getting medically cleared would be one of the first and most important steps. It was a long and stressful process, especially at first but it was vindicating and I was glad I did it the right way.

Ultimately it should be above your DH to decide. It's up to your CO's discretion. If you feel as though your DH isn't advocating for your best interests it might be good to discuss this with the boss. The day I submitted my package was a day before we had a change of command, so the new CO was going to be a bit of an unknown. Anyway the point I was prepared to drive was that I could do much more for the service as an aviator as I would do as an HM. Just my $0.02.

In hopes of tomorrow possibly being the day that we get to hear something, I think it's only appropriate that I share this music with you all as we aspire to be like Maverick/Goose or to build that bond with NA/NFO

It sounds like your command is trying to screw you, the longer you wait the more chance something physically could happen that could DQ you, it has happened unfortunately.

Okay gotcha thanks. Glad you’re able to get a waiver.
