04NOV24 Supply Board

Submitted for I-select in SUPPLY this week (10/16/24). Really hoping things aren't totally full/closed for the FY!

36 F
Currently work in supplier quality management (3 years) in a regulated industry, with relevant certifications in the Quality profession
BA in Biology
GPA 3.45 (C+ in Calc II)
OAR 66
NPS

Would also be happy to go SWO, but my recruiter was told that waivers beyond age 32 are impossible. From reading PA-100, my recruiter's interpretation had been that while the PA specifies that age waivers up to 32 could be adjudicated by CNRC, because it does not say what happens past that range, and because it does not say that waivers will not be granted beyond that range, it seemed that waivers past 32 would just need a higher level of authority (for example BUPERS-3). I can understand both an expansive and a restrictive interpretation of the document. But SUPPLY is my first choice regardless!

I think the more I learned about supply the more I want to actually be apart of the field. I originally wanted AMDO, but I think I would prefer supply in the long term! Good luck and hopefully you don’t run into any issues!

AMDO is also really interesting to me! If things are still in limbo when that board gets closer I’ll look at it again. Best wishes to you on your application!

When do you turn 37? as you need to commission prior to age 37 which means you would need to ship to OCS about 3.5 months prior to your 37th birthday.

I think you meant passed age 37 not 32. I’m assuming you’ve had no prior service? That would help you in this situation, unless you can commission before your 37th birthday.

For SWO I do indeed mean 32, that’s what PA-100 says, sadly. While the post is about supply, which is good through 37, that comment was about SWO.

No waivers required.

I had my entire package completed and submitted beginning of October. I’m pretty sure I qualify for I-select but I’m not entirely certain that it matters as I do not graduate until the end of December.

I’m pretty sure your package doesn’t even get seen at the board till all requirements are met.

That’s actually hilarious if true. I’ve been nervous since I haven’t heard a peep from my recruiter in weeks. My package not even being seen until December would explain the radio silence a ton.

I tried to submit my package with Mr. Celestin but I didn’t graduate until July (2024) and I asked if it was possible. He told me you can submit it but it won’t be pushed to the board until all requirements are hit. I’m also AD and I don’t know the process or capabilities of civilians with an OR.

I’m assuming civilian? How many times have you taken the OAR? All three attempts?
