I was told by my OSO that their minimums were 45 4/6/6. They might weigh the PFAR/FOFAR more heavily, but if they have a minimum for the OAR I assume it matters somewhat.
No it’s 4/6 with a 4 in AQR and 6 PFAR. FOFAR doesn’t matter because there are no more flight officers in the corps. I don’t even think the OAR matters. I’m in Tallahassee.

Took the ASTB on Saturday and didn't do as well as I was hoping. Got a 48 6/7/7 and been studying on and off for a couple of months. I'll keep studying to boost my scores, but the math and mechanics for were tough for me. I was suprised how little questions I got about aviation knowledge on the ANIT, having already my pilot certificate I was hoping to get more questions about planes. I'll keep using Kyle's guide and hope to do better. Any other advice to help boost my score??

I talked with my recruiter and he said my scores should be ok, considering my flight experience and technical degree, but it just doesn't settle right with me.

This post has good advice, I've been going through it: https://www.airwarriors.com/communi...es-ask-your-questions-here.28348/post-1112781
Would you mind sending me the link to Kyle's guide? I've looked through this forum but I can't find it.

Marines, PLC
I am by no means an OSO but according to my OSO, we only need a 4 AQR and a 6 PFAR. From what I’m seeing on the reddits and what not, the minimum scores are pretty much good for that section of your package. It’s not the navy where you need 7’s ( minimum to be competitive) in every category.

Pretty much you meet the minimums, ur good. The focus is your PFT scores mainly. Good LOR’s etc. I’m currently working with a OSO so I know a good amount.

Even then, your scores are pretty good for either branch tbh. Navy, you have a lower shot ofc cuz they have such a big pool of applicants, but with 6/7/7 you def have your foot in the door. I wouldn’t stress it.

I got a 44 4/5/5 last week, so I was just barely under the minimums by one point. I’ve been digging through this thread for any good study tips.

The board doesn't care about flight experience or degree type, it is the ASTB that will get you that SNA spot, your 7 is kind of a toss up, but good enough to give it a shot. I would keep studying and if you don't get selected retest and hopefully you will then meet the immediate selection criteria.

I'm in the same boat as you (47 4/5/5). I took it back in December and will retake it in 2 weeks. This time I am taking a lot of practice exams to improve my OAR score. For the PBM and the rest, I'll keep using the ASTB app. We'll see how it goes...

This is what I saw the last time:

MST: Probabilities (dice, cards, dependent events), square roots, trinomials, dividing polynomials, percentage questions like what is 40% of something, factorials, basic algebraic questions

RCT: Not much to say, it's just boring. I will try to understand what I read next time, I kept zoning out...

MCT: Pendulums, pulley systems (MA), static friction and coefficient, Bernoulli's law, aquatic/atmospheric pressure on objects, springs, projectile motion, the center of mass for spinning objects, pistons, etc...

ANIT: I saw a few aviation-related questions, and some about the Navy and aviation history. I am still trying to figure out how to study for this section, I am using the app.

I am still figuring out what I can do to improve my scores, I am using Kyle's drive more this time.
