Um guys, did the UAV simulator on the prep app always have the voice?

Ya know, the "Target the _____ building", because I swear I have been using this thing for like a month and it never talked to me before.

Pretty sure the math section is factored in to your AQR score so focus on that and use the app for the UAV section. Most importantly practice the simulator, that brought my score up a bunch. Also try to focus on the ANIT section as that also plays a big part in your scores.

Will do. I've been using the card trick I found on YouTube for the UAV section, it works flawlessly, although is it viable to use one the actual test? Here is the video

I think a lot of people were able to use it on the test but I kinda just memorized it from practicing on the app so I didn’t use it on the test. I started practicing with the card trick but found that it is quicker if you don’t need to use it. You wanna be quick with the UAV part. Average like 2 ish seconds for each and make sure you get it right even if one takes a bit longer.

Honestly yeah, but I’d recommend some of the gouges on here as well and the ANIT flash cards that people have been posting a link to on here. Didn’t put too much studying into the academic parts as I emphasized putting my time into the UAV part and the joystick. But, definitely should’ve studied more to get higher OAR and AQR scores.

I've definitely been doing a lot more of the academics over the PBM stuff. My UAV time is about 1.6-1.8 seconds. Getting a HOTAS here soon for that section but played a lot of flight sims with HOTAS a few years ago.

You should be good, just practice the sim on here when you get your HOTAS and you should do really good! Good luck!
 
If I am going the Marine route do I need to know the backseat portion of the prep app for the FOFAR? I thought I saw somewhere that for Marine Pilots its the FOFAR score and not the PFAR. Maybe I am misinformed, I am still relatively new to all of this.

*Correction, looks like it is a 6 PFAR or FOFAR*

Hey all I tried looking around here but I'm pretty confused about what the emergency procedures section of the ASTB is if someone could give me a brief rundown id greatly appreciate it!

They give you some instructions for 3 types of emergencies (fire, engine, propeller). Each emergency requires you to twist the knobs in a certain way on the throttle so that you fix the emergency while you are moving the stick and throttle around to track the little airplane on the screen. The updated Jantzen sim has a good example of what it’s like. During the test, it’s important to write down the instructions to each emergency procedure.

The PFAR and AQR are the important parts. The Marines really don't care about the rest.
