15 SEP2025 SNA/SNFO BOARD

My recruiter was saying there's the sept 15th deadline, but they don't actually convene until the 19th. He said I can submit my non-ISEL package a day late and it would be fine. It doesn't seem like he knows his shit though, not sure if I should trust him on it.
The black and white document would say the board started today, 99% of all boards start on a Monday.

Assuming there are issues with there being too many applicants. Would your kit being submitted earlier mean you’re more likely to make the at board draw or is it all just basically R&G? (mine was submitted back in June)

It doesn't seem to have any particular order if that even is the case right now, since it seems of those of us that checked in with our recruiters we all seem to be at board according to the system but just not on the at-board list

What's the risk of the November board being cancelled?
If it's true that there are too many applicants then there's a higher risk. But the risk isn't so much about the Nov board being canceled it's more of if you get stuck in I-Sel review (which seem to be the case for many here that didn't hear back for 3-4 months) you risk skipping out on regular boards that'd convene during your wait--since you know you will be kicked back to regular board upon I-Sel inspection... Which is essentially what happened to me, I could've gone to the May board but I was setting up my I-Sel packet instead since my previous recruiter pushed for it, only then I didn't know that I'd be disqualified for I-Sel down the line.

In the May Board SNA/SNFO chat, which was the last board. When it was around the same position like we are right now. Someone who had access to the “at board” sent out how many were SNA’s and SNFO’s and the SNA/SNFO combos. And it had around the same number that someone sent for this board not too long ago when the “at board” list released.

That could be true but I think "too many" would subjectively depend on the current quota that unfortunately no one knows about 😭 It could always be the same numbers of applicants but the needs and how many they are planning to select will dictate what constitutes as "too many," at least I think lol.

That said did they also have people that were not on the at-board list but were actually at board anyways 👀?

I don’t believe they did, but feel free to look. It’s on here for everyone to see. Also ENRO came on here a few slides ago and said that the NRC pick the same amount equally throughout each board no matter how competitive and non competitive. However could possible short a board. Not sure how common that is though.

Yeah that makes sense, I think maybe they cancel boards because they expect to not be able to send selectees to OCS until like many months post selection due to pipeline (flight school can only get so many students through the pipeline at a time and they have to balance it with NROTC and the Naval Academy people too)..

There have been people selected who were not on at board list, the only way to know for sure is to have your recruiter look in the system.

NRC tries to distribute spots equally, things can change that will affect that such as how many apply for AD URL ISPP and how many are accepted via ISEL. Nothing is perfect but if the current system isn't working as they thought it is likely they will review how to make it better.

That's really great to know! Definitely peace of mind now knowing that my recruiter looked into the system and said I am at the current board, thanks again for the insight!
