15 SEP2025 SNA/SNFO BOARD

It was. Everyone in my batch of officer applicants had issues past the fifth mark on the depth perception test at MEPS.
If you’re talking about the depth perception test, which sounds like it, I had the same problem. I Could tell them every line down to 30 arc seconds except line 5. I asked if it was a trick and the nurse said "you passed." Course he didn’t tell me I passed for Aviation standards. Just that, it was enough. Later I was dq'd. Ended up missing the May boards. All this bs happens just for me to go to my eye doc and tell me I have normal depth perception.....bruh.
This is all so relieving to hear. And it’s super weird that it’s messed up for a lot of people the exact same way.

I went to MEPS in New Orleans and the whole eye exam process was awful. I had the examiner there tell me I have 20/40 vision and I couldn't see past the 3rd set for depth perception. I then went to an actual eye doctor for an exam and the doctor told me I have 20/15 vision and I got to the 8th set for depth perception. I've heard we're going to get tested again at OCS also.

For the depth perception, idk how I instinctively thought of this at the time. But when they gave me the glasses to use when looking at the three circles, I would move my head left and right and you can see which one is different. The guy at MEPs said to me “no ever does that” lmao.

Mine was like looking through a microscope so that wasn’t possible haha

I was also uncaffeinated that morning which I’ve been told was smart actually.
Yeah I was “caffeinated” and it Temporarily DQ’d me from MEPs. The day before MEPs I drank an energy drink because I took the astb and next thing you know I had to drive to Detroit because I had a “heart problem”.

Everytime I see an air warriors notification pop up on my phone, I get a glimpse of hope that maybe it may be it, but no. No news yet😞
The last SNA/NFO board with a 30+ day waiting period was in October 2022. We've had it pretty good for the last number of boards with short wait times. It just so happens that the one I am officially on has to have a long wait time. I am just accepting not hearing anything until the 17th. I think I might pull an Airwarriors detox for a bit 😂 🥲

Is there a certain weekday that they release per past board trends. Or is it pretty random. I figured it would be Mondays and tuesdays.

When I did the part where you put your head up to the machine and read the eye chart inside, I got about halfway through my time on it before the woman stopped and asked “you know there are numbers too, right?” I’ve never seen numbers on an eye chart in the few times I’ve done them before.

MEPS labeled one of my eyes as like 20/30 uncorrected AND 20/30 corrected, which makes no sense. Went to an eye doctor to redo it for a waiver, and I was 20/20 corrected. Oh, and ironically there were numbers on that eye chart too.
