For all my AD folks submitting, I am probably nuking all of this but SMART transcripts moved over to JST so we are attaching those transcripts correct? Also with extra curricular activities what did you all end up putting in those blocks? Volunteer and extra off duty activities? Thanks in advance!
Don't nuke it lol.

If you want to put that stuff in great, the biggest thing is your ASTB and did Paul help you out with your medical?

Haven't been into work plan on calling Paul tomorrow. I thought the flight doc forwards all the medical stuff to NAMI first before I can even submit the package? I just got referred out to town to get an MRI. Should I be waiting for all those results to get compiled in for the flight doc to sign off and submit to NAMI?

I wish you the best of luck. I feel like every one that is AD and trying to submit for SNA/SNFO gets a different story from every flight doc lol some do everything, some say you only need the commissioning physical, some only do it after they hear back from NAMI approving waivers if necessary. There is no standard it seems for AD and medical(shocker)

It is crazy! To me, it seems like it would be standard to make an AD person go the full way through, and get their PQ letter prior to submitting, after all when they do get selected and sent to OCS, they are being removed from their billet and getting PCS orders from where they are. I feel like that could hurt the Navy, and the Sailor, if this person went all the way through getting selected and arrived at OCS to find out they are ineligible. Then what?

Half-rant half-question. How do we know if our application is finally, completely ready for the board and not going to come back next week with another thing to fix? Seems like every 2 weeks in my application there's a new t to cross or i to dot. I take care of it in 24 hours or less but despite my turn around time I didn't seem to make the last board and now I'm wondering if I'm not going to make this board either.

I printed the whole JST transcript "Complete Unofficial (8 pg.)" I believe, it shows also all schools. I put most In and out of duty volunteer hours, including previous volunteer hours before my AD.

Would you recommend also putting team related sports as well for extra curricular?

These are the items that go to NRC, they do not need to go to NAMI, it will eventually end up at NAMI but if you are trying to get in the Nov board by sending to NAMI you are taking extra time. If NRC wants you to have an MRI they will let you know, however since the doc already referred you now you need to go down that path, once that is done get items 27-32 and send them in to NRC and hopefully you will make the board.

There is a standard, it is in the OCS checklist, see my post above.

Here is a little secret, if a person wants to be an officer it is in their best interest to avoid NAMI until the last minute, aviation is by far the highest acceptance of applicants, if you get whammied by NAMI at OCS you can redesignate and still be an officer, however if your info is sent to NAMI and they DQ you before you send your info to NRC you are now very limited in options.

Conversely, do you have advice on how a non-AD can try to get NAMI whammied before getting a ProRec-Y or before going to OCS?

I wondered how that worked if you got that whammie would you be able to stay an officer and go down a different path. Thank you for the clarification.
