I've been lurking this thread for months now, and I can no longer take the anxiety of waiting on the results. Hello fellow applicants, I'm TMcDiddy: age 24 with 47 5/5/5 2.8 GPA BA Econ/Minor in Business MGMT. After comparing other scores, its fair to say I definitely have a lower chance of getting a ProRec Y. No fear though, my next plan would be to enlist (just to get my life started) then try again with an age waiver.
On the off chance I get ProRec Y, would scoring a 300 on the PRT beef up my package?
Dude at 24 I don’t think you have any worries about needing an age waiver anytime soon. You’re 8 years from 32.

I took the PiCAT before going into MEPS (was the alternative test available at the time to make the deadline), got a 93. I took the ASTB twice (used the gouge on the 2nd), so I'm weary on using my third attempt. I underestimated the ASTB, but I'll be in a better state of mind after the results come out and consider my options.
I’m just giving you the heads up if u go enlisted, when u finally make it to ur first command they are going to want you to get fully qualified on whatever is there before they even entertain the officer idea. Idk how old you are but that’s going to take around two years away. If you can hold out I would but I understand life circumstances as well. Just here to help you be informed to make the best decisions for you and yours

But still can take time. I been in this process almost a year and a half due to navy factors out of my control. Definitely easier not to go enlisted first but what do I know ??‍♂️??‍♂️

If joins as a PR, easy quals, FaceTime with officers, “works in aviation”, pretty short schools, and plenty of free time lol.

No one will ask you for a PRT until you already have a PROREC-Y.

No one cares how good you do as long as you pass. Your recruiter might give you a high five, but beyond that, no, a good PRT will not help you with a PROREC-Y or going to OCS sooner.

(God I wish it did :’( )

Hey you're going to OCS soon! Can you please count what % get NAMI-whammied there? I'm guessing 42%

@Mouselovr, did you end up getting your OCS date delayed?! If so, what’s your new date?
Not as far as I’m aware of. My orders read Nov 28th, and I’ve not received any updates since then about a delay.

There was a recruiter “whoopsies”. Thought I was in a different class for several months, but I’m not pushed.

Ha! Can do. As soon as I get my phone back, I want to make a BIG post about all the information in this process I found lacking. Details of NAMI will certainly be on that list.

Of the communications (snail mail) I’ve gotten from my friends at OCS right now, they seemed very encouraging. That NAMI wants you to fly. They will try to get you a waiver for everything if they can.

I told him that I saw somewhere online that the chances of getting selected for SNA are higher with SNA on the package by itself. What if they hit me with the "This is what we can do, theres no other way to do it"
not that they really read motivations statements but redo your statement and only talk about being a pilot and how serving as a pilot has been you dream and you can't think of doing anything else.

and do what the other guys said and get a new recruiter.

It will be nearly impossible to get picked up with 5's you should study and get at least 7's to have a good chance.

PRT scores are not part of the application the board would review.

That's honestly exactly what my statement says ?
