Yeah I'm really early because I'm not submitting until the May Board. I'm sure they'll change it, so far they have said its a solid packet. I'm just hoping they don't try to screw me out of anything

I submitted for SNA only and my recruiters have had no problem with it (I’ve had two because I started the process awhile ago). There’s no reason for you to put down NFO if you don’t want it. If they won’t do your paperwork the right way, don’t sign it.

You should be fine only applying to SNA. I only applied to SNA. Early in the process I said about 3 times that I'm only interested in pilot, not interested in flight officer, and that I only want to apply for pilot and not also to flight officer.

I've been lurking this thread for months now, and I can no longer take the anxiety of waiting on the results. Hello fellow applicants, I'm TMcDiddy: age 24 with 47 5/5/5 2.8 GPA BA Econ/Minor in Business MGMT. After comparing other scores, its fair to say I definitely have a lower chance of getting a ProRec Y. No fear though, my next plan would be to enlist (just to get my life started) then try again with an age waiver.
On the off chance I get ProRec Y, would scoring a 300 on the PRT beef up my package?

Welcome and way to resist the doom posting until now.

Don’t enlist if you want to be officer. Retake the test and score better and reapply if you get denied this time. It’s much harder to enlist then go officer rather than just be patient and reapply for officer. Also idk what you mean by score 300 on the prt. It goes outstanding, excellent etc etc.

300 is outstanding high, the push ups are out of 100, the now planks are out of 100 and the cardio is rated out of 100. But to answer his question no it doesn’t help your package. Failing would hurt it, but really it’s pass good you are doing what’s expected and fail just looks poorly on you.

That's what I figured. I'm not worried on failing the PRT, more so just keeping a high score.
Also, enlisting would be the next best route considering my personal circumstances.

Have you taken the ASVAB yet? I agree with Bdavis, its going to be a pain to submit while enlisted. I understand that life happens and circumstances can give you no choice but is there absolutely no way you cant wait it out till the May board if you dont get selected?

Went over to my parents’ house this weekend and flipped the month on my free Oshkosh Boeing calendar and it’s tilt month. Taking all the good vibes we can get right now.

I took the PiCAT before going into MEPS (was the alternative test available at the time to make the deadline), got a 93. I took the ASTB twice (used the gouge on the 2nd), so I'm weary on using my third attempt. I underestimated the ASTB, but I'll be in a better state of mind after the results come out and consider my options.

On enlisted side you typically have to wait till your at your ultimate duty station to apply, which could take a year or longer (took me a year and a half). Some commands also want you to meet certain in command goals before the CO will endorse your package, which could be another 6months to a year.
Granted I have seen people submit packages from A school, or after immediately checking into a command. All about who you network with.

The guy that submitted from A School had two Masters degrees and just stopped the CO for NATTC in the Pway and asked him about applying to OCS. The CO set up a board where he got all 3 of his Officer appraisals and the CO endorsement in one swoop and was able to apply.
